What’s up people? Without any doubt, August has been a great month for IVRC, where everyone could enjoy their vacations but also we celebrated two exceptional events!
From August 4th to 6th, the Nürburgring-Nordschleife Endurance event was launched for first time in our league, getting a very close and exciting fight between Carlos Frau and Marcos Landa for the pole position. The race was resolved by each three MPG Competition and C-Force Racing cars. Frau, who took the pole position, lost a couple of positions in the race start, where Lucas Murno got the advantage and got a good gap over Constantin Grimminger who was in second place. A mistake from both in the pit stop lead Carlos Frau to overtake them both at the stops, and finally took his first victory in IVRC. Grimminger ended second after Murno did not finish the race on an driving mistake, while Volland took the third position. Unfortunately, Jesus Chirinos retired early in the race and Landa did not get into the race start.
TCC Round 10 – Red Bull Ring
Knowing that many people is in holidays during this days, we got a really succesful event with a high rate of participation of 14 drivers. This event will be highly remembered as everyone showed a huge level of driving skills. In Qualifying, there was only a difference of 1.3 seconds from first to 11th, which meant that nobody could make mistakes during the races, otherwise it would send to them to the back of the order.
Ultimately Nick Atsidakos took pole position ahead of championship leader Marc Stwerka and guest starter Yuri Bascopé made up the top 3. Stwerka’s closest rival, Constantin Grimminger, started from 5th.
An exciting first race saw Stwerka winning ahead of Grimminger, sharing the podium with Bernard Mróz.
The second race, of course featuring the reverse grid order saw Atsidakos winning ahead of Stwerka and Phillip Volland.
By the end of August we also got two drivers announcements: Thallisson Santos signs up with Hola Viva Mexico Racing Team for the reminder of the season and Matthew Allington stays with YTF1 sim-racing team switching over to a Honda Civic TCR! Also, Hola Viva Mexico Racing Team presented their official livery for the rest of the season.
