Even though MPG administrative stuff members slightly changed, the leader Constantin Grimminger named Carlos Frau as the main operating team for 2020 JTC campaign, while he would manage the WEC, TCC and OWC operations.
In order to accomplish the JTC standards, the team will run under the name “ MPG自動車 LC 500 (MPG Automotive)” for all their cars, following the next line-up:
Ecodrom MPG Automotive: #41 Jon McDonald. (2019 IVRC TCC Podium in Macau)
MOTUL MPG Automotive: #17 Carlos Frau. (2019 IVRC WEC GTE Class champion and 2019 F3 World Macau winner).
CGD MPG Automotive: #21 Saulius Laurinavicius. (2019 IVRC TCC Rookie Champion, 2nd place in Pau & Macau).
The season starts April 18th in a 200 km race Okayama Circuit. The pre-season test will be held March 14th to check all latests details and prepare drivers for the first GT500 oriented series in IVRC.
